Uruguay Thwarts Ghana’s World Cup 2022 Round Of 16 Qualification

Uruguay has thwarted Ghana’s World Cup 2022 round of 16 qualification dream.
The Black Stars of Ghana stood a better chance of qualifying for the next round of the tournament after they won 3-2 against South Korea in their second group match.
They needed just a point to book a ticket for the knockout stage.
Unfortunately, Uruguay defeated Ghana by 2-0 in their last group match.
The Uruguayans carried the day through Giorgian de Arrascaeta’s brace in the first half.
In the 21st minute, Andre Ayew sadly missed a penalty. This was after Mohammed Kudus was fouled in the box.
Portugal and South Korea sailed through to the round of 16 after the Koreans grabbed a 2-1 victory.
