Christian Atsu’s Body To Arrive In Ghana Today

Christian Atsu’s body will arrive in Ghana today.

The Ghanaian footballer died in Turkey following an earthquake.

His body was found on Saturday morning after he was missing for a couple of days.

Atsu’s sad demise was confirmed by his agent, who has asked for the privacy of his family to be respected.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said the mortal remains of Christian Atsu will arrive in Accra on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 7:40 pm.

The late player’s family, the government and the Ghana Football Association will receive the body after its arrival from Istanbul, Turkey.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, and we pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Christian Atsu,” the statement concluded.
