Sefwi Wiawso Residents Mourn The Death Of 11-Year-Old Girl Who Purportedly Hanged Herself

The residents of Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region are in a state of grief after an 11-year-old girl purportedly hanged herself.

The girl reportedly died after she was found dead at her father’s sheep pen, where she was instructed by her stepmother on Thursday, July 7, 2022, to clean after school.

Her stepmother found out that she was hanging on a rope tied to the roof of the pen when she went there to search for her after she kept long to return home.

She then called for her help from the neighbourhood.

The sad incident according to Citi News happened between the hours of 4 and 5 pm.

Doctors at Sefwi Wiaso Municipal hospital confirmed the death of the young girl after she was rushed there.

A close friend of the deceased’s father, Mr Ebenezer Asante, who was working with him in his new building at Old Adiembra, disclosed that they are very devastated.

    I don’t believe the girl hanged herself
    A close family may have hired someone to meet the girl at the farms and hang her. Where are we going with this world Jealousy is the key.
