Reconsider Your Decision Because Of The Students – Akufo-Addo To Striking Teachers

President Akufo-Addo has asked the teachers to call off their strike.

He appealed to them during a speech at the 2022 Eid Al Adha celebration prayers held at the Independence Square in Accra.

Nana Addo said the teachers should reconsider their decision because of the students who will write their pending BECE exams.

About four teacher unions have been on strike for some time now.

They complained about working conditions and stagnant salaries.

These teachers want the government to pay a cost of living allowance to support their expenses, looking at the current economic situation in Ghana.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo urged the citizens to bear with the government during this period of difficulties caused by covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war.
