It’s Not For His Father’s Funeral – Kojo Antwi’s Rep Speaks On GoFundMe Account Brouhaha
Kojo Antwi’s rep has reacted to reports that the ace musician is begging for money online to support his father’s funeral.
The veteran musician announced the death of his father in January.
On Monday, February 13, 2023, many Ghanaian social media users were unhappy about claims that Kojo Antwi had created a GoFundMe account to ‘beg’ money for the funeral.
A few hours after the musician was heavily criticized, his rep told Joy Entertainment that the account was not created to beg for money for the funeral as speculated.
The rep claimed it is rather to set up The Maestro’s Love and Care Foundation which will provide scholarships to needy children and support for the visually impaired in society.
“Kojo Antwi, therefore, decided to open a GoFundMe account to make the process organised and smooth so he could also use the opportunity to lend a hand to the underprivileged in memory of his late father,” he indicated.
